ARTIST STATEMENT

Thomas is a purely self-taught artist. By the age of 18, he has been recognized for his aptitude for traditional drawing in Princeton, Southampton, New York City, Washington, LA and Miami. His fascination with the detailed work of Salvador Dali and Frank Lloyd Wright motivated him to match these figures, as he possesses affinities for architecture, human form, and abstraction. To accelerate his training, he used only a standard writing pencil and worked in miniature, and has developed the technique and knowledge needed for the realism or photorealism in many of his portraits, architectural drawings and figure drawings.
